Description
The so-called Carretera Vieja, or TF-28, with more than a thousand curves in 100 kilometers, crosses the medianías of the island connecting the capital with the south. This road is very busy for cyclists, since you are accumulating many meters of unevenness, but it is not a constant climb. For this excursion, move to the town of Güimar to start the ascent to the viewpoint of Don Martin, with magnificent panoramic views of the valley. Your route continues towards the south, passing through typical villages of the island, such as Fasnia, Arico or Granadilla. Conquer a terrain with continuous ups and downs. Climb to a height that varies between 400 and 700 meters above sea level. By the time you are in Granadilla, you have the hardest part of your trip behind you, and all that remains is to descend 20 kilometers to Playa de las Américas.Includes
