Weather Overview

Forecasting the weather in  isn;t exactly one of the most challenging jobs in the world; "...and tomorrow it's going to be sunny in Tenerife. Again." Thankfully, the weather in Tenerife is stable all year round. In the main coastal resort areas, the moderating influence of the ocean keeps the ambient temperature in the hot summer sun to a comfortable average high of 25.C, perfect beach weather. Whilst in winter, the warmth of the ocean produces a very pleasant average of 21.C.

As you climb Mount Teide, depending on the time of year, you'll experience either conditions reminiscent of an alpine ski resort (January and February), or those remarkable desert location landscapes in a Spaghetti Western for the rest of the year.

In the north of the island, the prevailing winds and the height of Mount Teide (the central core of the island) combine to produce a little more cloud and rain between the sunshine, creating a lush green sub-tropical vista.

You see, there aren't really seasons in Tenerife, just locations with different climates.
