Golf Costa Adeje
Summer is the quiet season for golf in Tenerife, for good reason. The green fees might be lower at this time of year but the heat can be exhausting. Try and book a round first thing in the morning before the temps reach their peak.
One of the most impressive golf courses in Tenerife, if not in Europe, Golf Costa Adeje has hosted many prestigious tournaments including the Canaries Spanish Open and the Tenerife Ladies Open.
The sloping fairways of a par-72 18-hole course stretch over the terraces of former banana plantations down to the ocean in Tenerife's upmarket Costa Adeje.
Bordered by dry stone walls, freckled with exotic flora and with a jaw-loosening mountain backdrop and island views of La Gomera, it's easy to let the scenery distract you on this course. If you can keep your focus, you're in for one of the rounds of your life.
An additional par-33 9-hole course adjoins the main fairways and slopes down toward the fishing village of La Caleta, a fitting place to end the day with a celebratory (or consolatory) meal and drink.
As well as featuring a classic-styled clubhouse with terrace, bar and restaurant, Golf Costa Adeje also feature all the top quality features you'd expect from a championship course, including buggy and equipment hire, and a nifty lift that takes you and your buggy down to the driving range.
