Description
This tour begins with pickup before heading northeast to the Puntallana municipality in La Palma. Participants will explore the ancient Laurisilva forest, which dates back to the Tertiary period over 20 million years ago. The forest retains its green foliage year-round, nourished by horizontal rain caused by trade winds.
Walk under large ferns amidst mist and humidity, encountering native plants and wildlife as your guide explains the ecological significance. After exploring El Cubo de La Galga, the tour ascends to Mirador Somada Alta for expansive views of the nearby islands of Tenerife and La Gomera, as well as the villages of Los Sauces and San Andrés.
The descent leads to El Mirador de San Bartolo in the San Bartolomé area. Here, you will hear the area's history and a local legend associated with the cliff known as El Salto del Enamorado (The Lover’s Leap).
