Description
Start early from a designated collection point and board an air-conditioned bus to Plaza de Tajuya, where you can observe the site of the recent volcanic eruption in Cumbre Vieja.
Next, continue to El Time viewpoint at 594 meters altitude, offering wide views of Aridane Valley and Caldera de Taburiente National Park.
Visit Puntagorda’s weekly Farmer’s Market to explore a variety of local products from farmers, artisans, and pastry chefs.
Afterwards, ascend the winding road to Roque de Los Muchachos, a renowned astronomical observation site with international telescopes. From here, see the Caldera de Taburiente — one of the world’s largest erosion craters — and on clear days, the neighboring islands of El Hierro, La Gomera, and Tenerife.
Return along the island’s east side, witnessing diverse vegetation zones and spring flowering. Stop at Mirador de Los Andenes for views over Barranco de Las Angustias, then visit the Royal Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows, home to La Palma’s patron saint.
