Description
Discover with Natura Xtreme Tenerife the canyon of Masca in the Teno Rural Park. One of the most beautiful places on the island of Tenerife. Take this trail between walls of more than 700 metres high. It is a 5 km downhill and 5 km uphill route of high difficulty, with an approximate height difference of 650 metres and many steps. It is, therefore, a trail for people in good physical shape. Don't forget to bring your hiking boots and hiking clothes to make the activity safer and more comfortable. We will provide you with a helmet and if you request it by email we will bring you hiking poles. If you don't have hiking boots, let us know and we can rent them for you. To get to the village of Masca we ask you to take the bus to Masca, this way you will take care of the environment, reducing pollution and helping to reduce traffic problems in the area. Parking in the village is limited to 2 hours and you may be fined or your car may be taken away. You can get from the village of Santiago del Teide or from Buenavista del Norte by bus (line 355 or taxi) to Masca. We will be waiting for you at the village square for the excursion. Please don't forget your sun cream, at least 1,5 litres of water per person, your personal documentation and comfortable hiking clothes with hiking boots. Please do not come in jeans, running shoes or beach sandals... they are not valid, they are not allowed for access. Please do not book if you do not hike or play sport, we recommend not to attend to people with low physical condition. According to the regulations of the Cabildo de Tenerife, it is not allowed to enter the beach, bathe or go out in a boat. It is compulsory to wear a helmet during the whole route. For your safety, you must inform us by email if you suffer from any cardiovascular or respiratory disease or injury that could be aggravated during the tour.
