The hearts of Tejina is a colourful town fiesta which sees locals going head to head to handcraft huge and intricate 12 metre hearts which are then paraded through the streets of the northern village. 

The hearts are part of the town parties of San Bartolomé, during which there will be a whole host of activities and events, although the most notable is the hearts parade and a romeria (traditional street party),
