Yubari Restaurant

Teppanyaki -- Gourmet Chinese -- Sushi

Chinese and Thai Oriental Sushi
Some restaurants you forget the minute you leave. Yubari sticks with you. Maybe it’s the wasabi kick that wakes your senses, or the chef juggling spatulas like he's auditioning for X-Factor. Either way, this is not just another sushi joint with soy sauce on standby. This is a dinner out that becomes a holiday highlight.

Overlooking the marina in Puerto Colón, Yubari doesn’t scream for attention. It doesn't need to. Inside, it’s all sleek wood, moody lighting, and that unmistakable scent of fresh ginger and grilled prawns. It’s smart but relaxed, stylish without being snobby. And the staff? Genuinely warm and welcoming.

Yes, the sushi is fresh. Yes, the nigiri looks like it belongs in a Tokyo art gallery. But what really gets people talking is the Teppanyaki. It’s part meal, part theatre, all joy. Sit around the hotplate, let chef Chi do his thing, and don’t be surprised if you’re catching food with a cocktail in one hand. The tortilla challenge (don’t ask, just try) has become a bit of a legend. It’s loud, it’s brilliant, and it’s perfect for birthdays, big nights and kids who think vegetables are boring.

Not in the mood for a flaming hotplate? No problem. Their à la carte menu is packed with delicate sashimi, crispy tempura and creative fusion dishes that bring Japan closer to Tenerife one bite at a time. The wagyu beef practically melts, and the dragon rolls have a spicy little sting that sushi fans will fall for. There’s plenty for non-sushi lovers too, so you won’t end up nibbling on rice while everyone else has the fun.

Top class food, cooked to perfection. We both had the Fuji choice on the teppanyaki menu, hubby was a little dubious with the different fish, but he was very happy with his choice of food. We will happily go back on our next visit to the island. The best teppanyaki we've had.

Visited this restaurant twice in a week while on holiday in Tenerife, the food is amazing and the staff are lovely and the prices are great.

Ate here with my wife and two children. Lovely little spot, we had a variety of starters, the soupy dumplings were a highlight! The sushi platter was very good and although advertised for 2, it was more than enough for 3 of us. Incredibly fresh and some of the best sushi I've had. Would definitely return.

What a lovely experience!!!!
We have gone with the teppanyaki menu. Chef and staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Food was cooked in front of you and they are delicious.
Definitely recommend especially if you have never tried Teppanyaki before

Yubari also stocks an impressive range of Japanese whisky, plum wine, and cocktails that come with more flair than a Love Island villa. And the desserts? Think matcha cheesecake and mochi that even the most ‘I’m not really a dessert person’ type won’t say no to.

Whether you’re looking for a memorable date night, a family blowout or just a meal that feels like an experience, Yubari delivers. Again and again. Locals return. Tourists rave. It’s a rare thing on an island full of dining options - a restaurant that actually gets better every time you go.

So go on. Make a booking using the Book Now button above. Sit at the Teppanyaki table. Laugh. Eat. Film the fire show for your mates. This is one of those places where you walk out with a full belly and a better mood than when you arrived.
