Description

If you would like to try diving without taking the full course to obtain a licence then you can take part in the one-day PADI Discover Scuba Diving program. This is also an ideal option for those thinking about taking the Open Water course but unsure if it’s for them. During this program a PADI Instructor will talk you through the basic principles of scuba diving and explain a few safety guidelines. They will also teach you a few basic exercises which you will practice in the water so that you are comfortable and confident using the equipment. You will first enter the swimming pool or a sheltered bay to practice these skills and to get used to the sensations of breathing underwater and swimming with a SCUBA unit After building some confidence in this way your instructor will take you for a boat dive to one of the many spectacular sites in the South of Tenerife. It is possible to see turtles, but these are wild animals and so sightings cannot be guaranteed.
