Your Masca Adventure: A Self-Guided Trip to the Heart of Tenerife
Discover the magic of the Barranco de Masca on an experience designed to give you complete freedom. We've taken care of the logistics — admission permits and the drop-off by boat — so that you can focus solely on enjoying one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Europe.
**Important:**
The departure point is the bus stop next to Plaza de Santiago del Teide
You must take line 355 from that stop to Masca.
*This line is mandatory for admission to the path. Those who have a valid reservation for the Camino will have priority admission. In addition, they must later present the Titsa ticket for this transport at the admission control point to the ravine.
You can pay for your transport directly when boarding the bus. Approximate price €1.50. Approximate duration: 20 minutes.
Recommended parking area: Santiago del Teide Cemetery (a 10-minute walk from the meeting point).
**Please be in Santiago del Teide approximately 1 hour before your selected time of admission to the ravine.**
Your day begins in Santiago del Teide, where you'll take a bus that will take you along a winding road to the picturesque hamlet of Masca. Before you start walking, you will pass through an admission checkpoint where your ticket and your equipment will be checked (don't forget your hiking shoes!).
The path will take you through a spectacular gorge until you reach the final reward: the secluded Masca cove, a wild beach at the foot of the imposing Los Gigantes cliffs.
To round off a perfect day, a boat will pick you up at the cove to take you to the cruise port of Los Gigantes. During the crossing, you'll enjoy a unique perspective of the cliffs, whose vertical walls rise hundreds of feet above the ocean.
The sightseeing tour ends at the Los Gigantes cruise port. Return transport to Santiago del Teide is not included, but you can easily take a taxi or public transportation (bus lines 325 and 462).
Duration: Trekking: 3.5 hours. Cruise tour: approximately 20 minutes. Full activity with transfers: approx. 5–6 hours.
Difficulty: Medium (trekking experience is recommended).

This information includes the admission tickets to the ravine and the boat tickets, as well as the audio guide.

IMPORTANT: In the event of failure to comply with any of the necessary conditions, rules, equipment, or documentation, the staff of the company in charge of monitoring the trail (TRAGSA) will deny admission and no refund of any kind will be given (Pay special attention to footwear. They must be hiking shoes with a good tread pattern on the sole).

Bus transportation from Santiago del Teide to the hamlet of Masca.
Transportation from the Los Gigantes harbor back to Santiago del Teide.
Food and drinks (you must bring your own picnic lunch and water).
Important Information
- It is ESSENTIAL that you provide the full name and ID document or passport number of each participant on your booking.
Children under 8 years of age are not permitted.
Failure to comply with the necessary rules will result in refusal of admission and no refund will be provided (footwear must be suitable for mountain hiking and have a sole with a good tread pattern).
AUDIO GUIDE: Includes app with interpretive audio guide. Important: You must download the route to your mobile phone before arriving in Masca (there is no cell phone coverage in the ravine). You will receive instructions and an admission code in an e-mail after your reservation.
STRICT ADMISSION CONTROL: Before starting the route, the park staff will check your ID card/passport and your footwear. Failure to comply with the requirements will result in refused admission without refund.
NOT SUITABLE FOR: Pregnant women or people with limited mobility.
Please note that the sightseeing tour ends at the Los Gigantes Harbor. You will be responsible for your drop-off to Santiago del Teide (taxi or public transportation available).
