Description
Join a guided abseiling activity in Los Arcos Canyon. Learn rappelling techniques while observing the significant geological formations around you. Your local guide will explain the canyon’s history and endemic flora.
Meet your guide at the car park. They will drive you individually about five minutes to the access point. A 45-minute walk follows before you put on a helmet and harness. After a brief training session, you will rappel down multiple walls up to 20 metres high, each with distinctive volcanic ash formations.
Throughout the descent, you will traverse various landscapes, including the eroded Los Arcos rock formations shaped by water over time. At the final rappel, a 35-minute walk returns you to the meeting point.
Note: The surrounding area suffered fire damage in summer 2023. The natural environment is regenerating, and some affected zones will be crossed on foot during the approach.
