Description

An excursion from Puerto de la Cruz designed to explore Masca at a leisurely pace, surrounded by some of Tenerife's most spectacular landscapes.

Masca is one of the most iconic places on the island: a small hamlet nestled in the mountains of the Teno massif, famous for its traditional houses, cobbled streets, and views of the ravine. On this excursion, you'll have plenty of free time to explore at your own pace, have a leisurely lunch, find the best spots for photos, and simply enjoy the surroundings.

The day starts in Puerto de la Cruz. We'll travel along the north coast to the Mirador del Emigrante vantage point, opposite Garachico, where you can admire the village, the Roque, and the Atlantic Ocean. It's a short stop, but perfect for learning about the volcanic history of this part of Tenerife.

We'll then continue to Los Silos, a quiet seaside village in the Isla Baja region. The guide will take you on a short tour of the village, where you'll see the skeleton of a sei whale and learn about the Canary Islands' relationship with the whales and dolphins that inhabit its waters. Afterward, you'll have some free time to wander on your own and check out the tidal pools near the whale. Please note that there will not be time to swim in the sea.

From there, the excursion heads into Teno Rural Park, passing through Buenavista, El Palmar, and small hamlets such as Las Portelas. Deep ravines, green valleys, terraces, and mountain roads lead the way to Masca. Here, the journey is part of the experience.

Upon arrival in Masca, you'll have free time to explore the hamlet at your leisure: stroll through its streets, admire the views, try the local cuisine, or sit back and soak up the scenery. This is not a guided visit inside the village: it's your time to enjoy Masca however you like.

For the drop-off, we'll take the spectacular Masca road to Santiago del Teide. If conditions allow, we'll stop at the Cherfe Vantage Point to say goodbye to the Teno Mountains with one last panoramic view before returning to Puerto de la Cruz.

Important: This experience includes scenic stops and free time in Masca. It is not a continuous guided visit or a hike through the ravine.
