Experience Gran Canaria’s Most Magical Night Under the Stars Join us for an unforgettable evening of astronomy and nature on this guided small-group Sunset and Stargazing tour. If you select the option with pick-up, we will collect you from your hotel or a designated pick-up point in the South of the island and drop you back there at the end of the tour. If you choose the self-drive option, you’ll drive yourself for the duration of the tour, meeting us at the designated meeting point. From there, you’ll follow the lead vehicle of Stargazing Gran Canaria. (Please be sure to choose the correct option when booking your tour.) We’ll begin with a scenic sunset drive through the island’s stunning mountain landscapes, passing majestic canyons, lush palm tree oases, and picturesque Canarian villages like Arteara and Fataga. Our first stop will be at the breathtaking Mirador Astronómico de la Degollada de las Yeguas, offering views of the Grand Canyon of Gran Canaria. After taking in the views and snapping some photos, we’ll continue on to the sunset viewpoint: Mirador de la Degollada de la Becerra. Self-drivers will meet us here! Perched at 1550m above sea level, this viewpoint offers spectacular views above the clouds, with both Teide in Tenerife and Pico de las Nieves in Gran Canaria in sight. Enjoy a glass of cava or juice as you take in the breathtaking sunset above the clouds. Afterward, we’ll head deeper into the island’s rugged interior to the remote stargazing site at Llanos de la Pez for an unforgettable dark sky experience. With minimal light pollution and some of the clearest skies in the world, the Canary Islands are a premier stargazing destination. Using powerful telescopes, our expert guides will show you planets, galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters. You’ll also enjoy a laser-guided constellation tour, live deep sky photography displayed on tablets, and fascinating facts and stories about the universe. To top it off, we’ll capture a professional night-sky photo of you or your group using advanced astrophotography techniques. You’ll receive a downloadable photo to relive the magic of your Gran Canaria stargazing adventure — the perfect souvenir for a night you’ll never forget. As the tour takes place at an elevation of around 1800m, complimentary winter coats will be provided to keep you warm during the cooler evening temperatures.

Important Information

• The tour takes place at an elevation of around 1800m, so it can be really cold in the evenings. Please wear warm clothes and closed flat shoes/trainers. Do not book a tour with us on the same day that you scuba dive.
