Our excursion will take you to experience one of the most spectacular events in Tenerife: the Corpus Christi of La Orotava. Accompanied by an expert guide, you'll discover the centuries-old tradition of creating the impressive carpets of flowers and volcanic sand, an artistic display that's unique in the world. During the visit, you'll stroll through the cobblestone streets of La Orotava, where every corner is transformed into a true ephemeral work of art. You'll learn about the origin of this festival, which dates back to 1264, and how this tradition has evolved into one of the most important cultural events in the Canary Islands. After the visit, we will continue to Puerto de la Cruz, where you will have free time to explore the city, stroll along its coast, or enjoy its cuisine before returning to the south of the island. Important information: The excursion is by bus with pick-ups beforehand (may include transfers). Due to the terrain of La Orotava, comfortable shoes are recommended, avoiding heels or slippery shoes.
