Begin your adventure with a pickup from the southern coastal resorts or Santa Cruz. Head to the authentic village of Taborna, with its charming traditional houses and narrow streets, giving you a real glimpse into Tenerife’s rural life and local culture. Before the hike starts, visit several spectacular viewpoints, offering sweeping vistas of the rugged ridges, deep valleys, and the Atlantic Ocean — a perfect introduction to the region’s natural beauty. Follow a 7-kilometer circular trail with 220 meters of elevation gain, designed as a scenic figure-eight loop that combines two very different landscapes. The first part of the loop takes you along dramatic rocky ridges, offering panoramic views of the ocean, cliffs, and distant mountains — a perfect spot for photography and soaking in Tenerife’s wild side. The second part of the loop winds through the lush laurel forest, with its misty greenery, ferns, and birdsong, while still passing several scenic viewpoints that reveal the forested valleys and distant peaks.
