Description
Sail off the coast of southwest Tenerife on a 2-hour boat excursion looking for whales and dolphins. The boat departs from Puerto Colon, travelling 2 or 3 miles from the coast, where the pilot whales are often to be found. The beautiful sea mammals live permanently in the area, and are seen all year around. Sailing by catamaran, you will also pass by some fish-farms, where the clever dolphins are often looking for an easy meal. The crew are very knowledgeable about all the whales and Tenerife's other marine life. As you sail, you will also learn about the huge squids that can grow up to 40 feet (12 meters) in length, and live at depths of up to 2,600 feet (800 meters) between Tenerife and La Gomera.Includes
