Directions to El Cerro de la Luna
Walking into El Cerro de la Luna gives you that 'Eureka' moment you feel when you've discovered a hidden gem.
Sure, it might seem like it's a little bit off the beaten track up in the hills close to Chayofa but it's actually less than 10 minutes from Los Cristianos - easily doable for lunch or dinner by car or taxi. Once found, this lovely restaurant will go straight into your top restaurant choices for Tenerife, that's for sure.
Styled in and around a beautifully renovated farm house, the lush tropical gardens, floral terraces and low-ceiling interior provides a perfect setting for a long lazy lunch, sunset supper or moonlit dinner.
Cosy, intimate, romantic and celebrating all that's good about eating outdoors in Tenerife is what El Cerro de la Luna is all about.
Strolling amongst the cacti, palms and bougainvillea, you will come across intimate, one-table pagodas. You feel like you've got the garden all to yourself as you munch on Mediterranean and Canarian dishes including sweet black puddings, smoked fish on a bed of sweet potatoes, soups, fresh salads, prime cuts of meat, succulent seafood and a variety of tapas. The home-made apple pie with vanilla ice-cream and cinnamon isn't too bad either!
This fantastic discovery is just about the best off-the-beaten track restaurant you'll find without having to use a compass, sleeping bag and all-terrain vehicle... you'll not be disappointed.
Make a reservation using the e-mail above (right), or simply walk in. Samantha and the staff are always happy to accommodate families, couples and large groups.
Wednesday - Mondays: 12pm - 4pm and 7pm - 11pm.
