Description
Once everyone is on board we drive towards Vilafor, one of the highest towns in Spain located at 1414 metres above sea level. We will stop to visit the “Pino Gordo”, an amazing Canarian Pine tree 45 metres tall, considered to be between 700 and 800 years old. We then continue on scenic roads to reach Teide National Park. Once there, you will be able to visit the Cañada Blanca Visitor Centre, inaugurated in June 2022. A modern centre designed with universal accessibility criteria located in an exceptional enclave opposite the Roques de García, next to the Parador, where we are shown the evolution of life in Las Cañadas, from prehistory to modern times, as well as the different uses that were made of the environment and its influence on the landscape. We will have time for a coffee or a snack while admiring the stunning Teide Volcano. After this, we walk to Roques de Garcia, the huge rock formation composed of an accumulation of layers of different material which, before being eroded, formed a wall that separated the two calderas of Las Cañadas. Next stop will be Santiago del Teide where we can have a little refreshment before taking the breathtaking Masca roads. The six kms of tight roads and amazing views are worthwhile and rewarding once we reach one of the most beautiful towns of Tenerife at 750 meters above sea level. Here we have time to visit the picturesque square with local handicrafts and an incredible vista. Driving back along the winding road of Masca, the last stop will be at the Mirador de Archipenque. An ideal place to view the spectacular Los Gigantes cliffs.Includes
