Carnaval is coming and as always it will be visiting every corner of the island and Puerto de la Cruz is no exception, enjoying one of the best atmospheres after the internationally famous Santa Cruz affair.

One of the highlights include the masculine Ponte Tacon race, which sees hundreds of men in high-heels and elaborate costumes race to the finish line amid the applause and laughter of thousands of spectators.
